The early morning was damp but the CTV Breakfast Television crew showed up with the vivacious Jennifer to brighten the day with her sunshine. The first 100 vehicles began rolling in and after that the draws and prizes began flowing. Great owners, great vehicles and great prizes. The goodie bag was really a goodie pail full of this and that. Our Judges Carl and Dave did their jobs and selected the best of the best. One highlight of the afternoon was to be able to present Hospice Caledon with a cheque for $1500. It turned out to be a beautiful day.

Jackson Point Tour 2011
Sixteen old car lovers began a Saturday tour that traced The Canal Route from Palgrave to Keswick. This, for me, was reminiscent of the bayous and levees of northwest Louisiana where our borrowed 51 Chev ½ ton began its working life. From Keswick we followed the Lakeshore route of Lake Simcoe between Roche’s Point and Jackson’s Point. This route passed by a number of summer homes that were built in the early 1900’s . We stopped briefly at St Georges Church, which is the final resting site of Stephen Leacock and also the church where Gwen & Romas tied the knot. The tour ended at West Wind Cottage for an afternoon BBQ social. Thanks Gwen and Romas. Your generous hospitality was enjoyed and appreciated by all.

Caledon Cruisers 21st Year of Cruising
This year the weather was somewhat iffy in the morning but it did clear by our noon start. We had 93 registered vehicles of the approximately 120 who attended with their specialty vehicle. The registrants were presented with unique dash plaques, goody bags and entry coupons making them eligible for the draws held during the afternoon. Many of the Fall Fair visitors made donations toward Meals-on-Wheels and later on one lucky donator received $265 and a second one received a very nice tool set. The entry coupons were also very rewarding to virtually all registrants. All our visitors were able to take in the atmosphere of a country fair as there were livestock to see, merry-go-rounds to ride candy floss to stick to you and a feature this year was the demonstration drives of the Monster Trucks. During the afternoon our judges made their rounds with the following results and we congratulated these winners:
