Late last year at a Caledon Cruiser Car Club meeting, a discussion arose regarding the start of the club’s third decade. It became apparent that there were many people, past and present, who have contributed in a major way to the founding and success of the Club. In January of this year, the notion of an award of recognition was discussed. In February, the club decided that the award would be in memory of Darren Moffatt, a true old car, or really old truck KID who loved and pursued the hobby. I’m sure each of us remembers being a kid and just loving the ‘fixing up’ of our first old junker and how our dreams were fulfilled.
And you can look and see how Darren’s Dream has lived on and will continue through these awards.
You all know the expression “The Older I Get, The Faster I WAS. Well, our memories of days gone bye are usually specific to what we most enjoyed at that moment, and HISTORIANS usually have to interview many people to have a complete picture of what happened or really, what evolved.
